The Lüne Cloister is just a 15-20 minute walk away from our hotel. This medieval complex, home to many cultural and architectonical treasures from the last centuries, is surrounded by an extensive garden. Amongst those the gothic fountain, the old cloistered courtyard with multi-coloured windows and the wallpaintings. The cloister though does not just stand as a witness to former days, the complex is still in use as an evangelic convent and is run by an abbess. Apart from a guided tour we recommend a visit to the adjacent Carpet Museum and a coffeebreak in the Cloister Café.
