Even in the summertime, when the temperature is high and a spot in the shade is rare, there are many opportunities to enjoy your stay in our beautiful city:
So you could visit our "Kurpark", where the big old trees offer many cool places in the shade. At the little café you can get drinks or ice cream and with a match at the miniature golf you can spend a relaxed afternoon.
Or you go onto the water and rent a canoe or a pedal boat. Whether you prefer a quick round or a long tour, you can decide - there are several possibilities and providers. Afterwards you can let the day end with a cool drink in the beer garden "Schröders Garten", directly at the river "Ilmenau".
If that is not enough cooling down, you can visit one of Lüneburg's open-air pools. You can choose between a big open-air pool, a natural outdoor-pool or a bathing lake.
And if it should be only a "small cooling down", we are happy to recommend the next ice-cream parlour...
